   Our I.D. is the way people can find out more about you, specifically you name, address, and your height. The one thing your I.D. doesn't say is how you feel, your fears, your ideas, and your hopes. Our president is using lack of knowledge

Our I.D. is the way people can find out more about you, specifically you name, address, and your height. The one thing your I.D. doesn't say is how you feel, your fears, your ideas, and your hopes. Our president is using lack of knowledge and understanding of the people he governs over checking I.D.'s to send people "back where they belong" and not batting an eyelash. In "The Project" I talk  to students  at Hunter College from all walks of life about how they feel about the shape of America through this regime.  The question dives into the students hope for our country, their fear, or their indifference for it all. But to better understand the students the picture is Black & White and just like an I.D. you'll find facts that seperate, but bring each person togther...

  • Thinks-"I hope that through out this presidency certain issues will be brought to the light, like issues like corruption and unfairness. I also hope people will join together unlike what our current Govt is doing to us."

  • Thinks-" I'm Muslim and I don't know what to expect, I guess that would be my fear the uncertainty of what will happen to people like me."

  • Thinks-" I'm not huge fan of Donald Trump, I was a fan of him as a reality star but not as much anymore."

  • Thinks-" I am very afraid for the future of our country. Coming from immigrant parents I don't know how safe they really are. On top of this I'm a triple minority, I'm black, a child of immigrants, and i'm a woman. It makes it hard to be hopeful for the future of our society because we knew about racism, but with this presidency it gave the racist the courage to take off their masks."

  • Thinks- "I'm scared because a lot of people have a negative reaction to this presidency, and its making more people build walls instead of bridges. Its also empowering people to believe certain things are right, like Trump using racist ways to attract people and having them take thier masks off."

  • Thinks- "I don't really consider Trump my president if I'm hinest about it."

  • Thinks- "As a Hispanic person i have a fear that in the future as we see now a days in this presidency it will change a lot of policies that will effect not only the Hispanic people, but any immigrant. My biggest fear to me is that there will be a clash against race which is the biggest problem right now."

  • Thinks-"I think it's scary about his misconceptions about immigration. I hope that he doesn't continue this path he's on with immigration. For  some of my family it is really scary to see what he's doing."

  • Thinks-"My hopes for this presidency is that we don't continue to revert to where we used to be. I just hope what's happening now isn't a look into what the rest of the 4 years will look like."

  • Thinks-"When the presidency first happened I was kind of scared cause I thought I was going to get attacked, but as it continues I just feel like he's going to be one of those presidents that  people are like what the hell just happened? My friends and I have this fear, like I'm also tan and you can tell i'm a different race even if I wasn't wearing my hijab. So now its kind of like lets just hope for the best."
